hmm, its been a bit

so yeah.

The last two weeks have been nothing but skateboarding and mayhem. Last weekend was the Goofy Vs Regular contest. Met up with a bunch of kids from Indiana, one of them being a new ride on Scarecrow and just had a good connect with these guys. Proceeded to just hang out and go skate every Orange County spot we could think of and then went and got a hotel room in Lake Forest for the weekend since it was right across the street from the skate park where the contest was being held. Went to work on Friday, hung out then went with Frank to the contest and skated a sweet ditch spot where someone had built a quarter pipe with pool coping on one end, and a quarter pipe to wall ride on the other. This made for good times, and even was visited 5 times in a matter of 3 days and was even lit up with numerous generators and lightsfor a night of late night skateboard fun. This was one of many sessions everywhere in southern California.

Steve, our rider, ended up getting 3rd place in what was called the hometown heroes contest. Just up and coming amateurs across the united states competeing in a series and a few of them were on a bus for a 5 week tour across the US. I was so hyped to have met a kid and introduced him to the rest of the team to only have him place in top 3 standards in the contes itself.

Spent the week going through the motions with work, just selling anything and everything I can. Doing my thing, trying (hopefully still not in vain) to make shit happen for this company and get ahead.

THis weekend has been the Damn Am competition at Volcom. This has been more of a "alright dudes, contest is over.... lets go skate somewhere street now!" We've had fun, another one of our riders came out from Arizona to see Against Me in LA. So we chilled and skated the San Pedro park yesterday afternoon, bouncing around the sketchy trannies of the park. Made for a good time, since everything is a bit of a challenge having to skate pool coping and very sketchy hand made transitions. Went to a couple other spots and got kicked out, then ended up at the Belmont Ledges. Skated there for a few hours and saw the boys off to go do their thing in LA, another show and all that jazz.

I ended up coming back to the ledges to hang out and skate with a kid that moved out here from Ohio, he's a great kid and I actually deal a lot with the shop that he rides for. We set up generators and went skating on the ledges trying to get a few lines filmed. I forgot how good some kids are, made me just want to skate more.

Later on we went around the back side of the belmont to find a full photo session going down on the hubba ledge. This is where I find one of the stinkiest and best personalities ever to grace a wooden ton, Lizard King himself. Great kid, fuckin one of the best. Watched him get some footage. I myself stepped up with a slow moving b/s 180. Got a sweet photo of that hopefully to get a print of next week and just hung out for a while.

Received a pair of Deklines from a kid that was just chillin and just got off the team and was going for some other contract. I wanted to try them out so we'll see how my tootsies like them.

Other than that life has been good. Just been skating, thats all there is right? Its filled my days up with no worries and has made me smile and laugh constantly.

Hopefully I'm not just dropped from a great high that I'm on right now to be like "now what?"

more later
